My Favourite Humans

LineLineFish

LineLineFish or line-line-fish is a command line fishing game that later became my first web project.

The basics of the game are as follows:

  • Each act of pressing the Fish button consumes one cast
  • Fishing line regenerates at once cast per minute
  • Earning money is good
  • Catch value depends on weight, species, and modifiers
  • Increasing bait increases the chance of larger catches, including dangerous predators!
  • Carrying too many items in your boat is not a wise idea

Although the game might seem simple at first, you may soon find yourself interacting with all sorts of mechanics, including kleptomaniac cephalopods, forgetful gods, and tearful ghosts.

Best (or worst) of all, you share a single ocean with all other players, meaning your actions will affect everyone else!

Will you help combat jelly invasions and sink rare resources you don't need for others to find?

Will you breed sharks to sink your enemies or anchovies to annoy them?

Or maybe you'll find a way to turn your own luck into good wishes for all?
